it’s the perfect size for your wrist. OP’s are not meant to be 42mm watches.
I’d argue it’s almost too big, to be honest. Good fit, don’t go much bigger.
In my opinion, of course. But I wear 32mm with an 8"+ wrist so my opinion is probably odd in this day and age
