Kings with Sabonis will be relevant for 2-3 years and Hali with the Pacers will double it

Kings with Haliburton were just awful. There wasn’t a realistic hope to make it that good within his contract, so really the fact that a completely different Pacers team made great use of him doesn’t matter much to Sacramento.

Kings bet on leaving Fox in (whom would have netted much less attractive trade return than Haliburton at the time) would be the best possible use of their actual chances, and it turned out to be correct.

It was a mutually beneficial trade. Hali wouldn’t be playing at this level if he was still on the Kings and the Kings would still be losing.

Fox and Hali are both fantastic players but they didn’t work well. They both thrive with the ball in their hands

I know that right now the Pacers are still in their development phase, but I really hope they manage to secure a legit second star to put next to Haliburton for the future. I need to see this man deep in the playoffs.

As a Pacers fan I think we can beat anyone but the Celtics rn. Holy shit they made us look like a high school team, Haliburton or not

Tbh I’m convinced Mathurin has too much dawg in him to not end up being a Jimmy Butler type. Now it’s just a matter of finding the 3rd star and keeping the roster full of young talent as our great depth ages into new contracts.

He remind me of Nash. He plays fast and scan the court looking for the open man but he is capable of shoot from anywhere

I mean he was doing this all last year and we were the 5th seed before he went down. I won’t say he’s 3rd yet but this is the first year he even has a chance to prove himself in the playoffs

NBA marketing team should put a huge chunk of money marketing Halliburton and Ant. Small market teams but they’re so talented, the way they play is so fun, and they’re charismatic af

See idk if it’s Adam silver’s fault or not, but he says he wants the NBA to be like the NFL where all teams can be popular at the same time, but then the NBA does NOTHING to advertise small market franchises. It’s especially a good time rn with most small market teams having a face to build around rn (Giannis, Wemby, Hali, Fox, Paolo, Ant, Chet/SGA, Lauri, Lamelo, etc.)

Ultimately its under his umbrella as commissioner but not really his fault. Nba is too focused on deepthroating everything lebron does in “YEAR TWENTY ONE” and the other aging stars to give a damn about the younger guys. And it really doesn’t help when you have prominent media personalities constantly asking when those stars will move onto bigger markets like LA, NY, Miami, etc….
