It is pretty underrated in my circle and city, you get to see Rolex and Omega usually everywhere here, and most do not even know Grand Seiko.

“Most people don’t even know Grand Seiko”

Buddy, most normal people don’t even know Omega. We’re in a watches sub where everyone knows all the brands.

Buddy, that’s like saying Bayern Munich is underated team because it’s not that know by Americans, or that Citizen Kane is also underated because people haven’t heard of it.

Underrated in the sense that OP wants you to tell him how great he is and how little praise he’s gotten for wearing such a timepiece.

      OP feels underrated.

I wouldn’t call the Shunbun underrated. its the watch that even the most vehement grand Seiko haters admit is still fucking beautiful

I agree it’s underrated in the sense that it should stand side by side with the Rolexes at its price point.

Sure, it doesn’t have the heritage or legacy that the Swiss brands do, but any watch that innovates a movement like that… oof

That certainly deserves more credit imo. Yet these are some of the easier high end ones to grab, if I’m not mistaken, as opposed to the exclusivity of Rolex

Yeah, the sweep seconds glide is insane on this. Spring Drive should get some more credit.

It is stunning and a gem but underrated I think now. GS is really famous and cherished and known for their excellent quality.

Not an underrated watch but as always, looks great on the wrist and a good choice.

Never quite vibed with the crown on these GS models but cool nonetheless.

Is it underrated? I only ever see positive comments regarding most GS watches, but this model in particular.

They probably look amazing in person, but I always have a hard time for textured dials even though I love the idea

As good looking as the dial finishing is, I will always dislike the power reserve implementation, it just makes no sense to me the position and the arch orientation.
