    I admire the utilitarian approach.

    Some ideas to help:

    Wrap with electrical tape so the switch doesn’t move around, and those razor sharp stamped metal edges don’t cut you.

    Alternatively, fill the gap between switch and handle with Goop adhesive. It cures like dense rubber cement, keeping the switch in place and covering those sharp edges.

    Both will contribute to your utilitarian solution.

    Nothing says “I just need this to work” like being wrapped with electrical tape.

      The inside actually pinches it enough it does not move but I did wrap it later with some hockey tape to give it a softer feel.
