For context- My wife and I are already heavily investing into our future retirements…but we have some extra money.

This is why I’m here. My dream is to be self employed with a work-from-home job and I’m willing to invest in whatever equipment or training I need to get started, but I don’t know where to start. I’ve been working Blue-collar my whole life… I’m ready for a change.

Is there any businesses that I can learn and invest in fairly quickly that’s relatively safe (in terms of success rate)? I want to invest in something that has a track record of doing well as long as you’re continuing to work on it.

I’m not trying to make a fortune (maybe 60-80k?). I just want to work from home with a flexible schedule and be self employed. That’s basically my only criteria.

For those curious, my background is in structual steel (skyscrapers) fitting and welding. That’s not something I can do from home (nor something I want to)

I already know of dropshipping (everyone and their mother is doing it), but there has to be tons of other work-from-home self employment business models, right?
