The Bucks fucked up their coaching situation lol
LOOK NO FURTHER THAN JRUE HOLIDAY
Every time I watch Beasley he’s bricking everything, but he’s still 45% for 3 on the season.
Very competitive game, lots of good moments from everybody that was on the court. I cant remember a game this contentious in a very long time, both sides were at each others throats (figuratively). This is a true win, and I dont mean because it was pretty dominant at points, but because the players adjusted, matched the intensity of the other team, and founds ways to make leads and made their runs.
I truly think AB and Goga need to continue to start. I am all in on AB and I think Goga is a true center, he can be replaced if something better becomes available but right now he is the best true center on this squad (until Mo comes back). I know many hate when I say this (I have been saying it for a long time) but Wendell is not a true center, and Markelle needs to find his shot or he doesn’t fit.
AB fits perfectly, he is a switchable defender, that can guard 1-3 relatively fine and has guarded 4/5’s on occasion and shown that he knows how to work the refs or stop their moves. He is a high bball iq guy with active hands, and thats a huge value for this starting lineup. He doesn’t just work defensively also, his ability to C&S is very synergitic with the starting lineup, his ability to attack gaps, know when to cut, attack the board for second chances, get free throws, and take contact all is exactly what the Starting lineup needs. Not to mention his size and fluidity as a playmaker, all just on the money. This FO made a great pick, I said it very early that even though AB was at the lowest on my draft fit board for possible picks at 6, if he can shoot the ball he skyrockets to #3/4 right after Vik and TH and ties with Ausar. I am truly all in on AB, from this sample size and from what we saw in Summer league. I mentioned it many times that I think he can start very soon and here he is starting (because of injuries) very soon. He fits defensively, fits a bit offensively (needs to still work on his handle, driving ability and shotcreation). He is a low economy/usage guard, that does many of the little things, is a highly competitive player that fights for loose balls, second chances, and on every play both ends. I think he is core for a competing team very soon, and right now he is a definitely slowly becoming pivotal to the Magic slowly establishing team (that may easily become a competing team with more consistency).
Suggs to me would have been the player of the game, if he wasn’t somehow iced out the second half. I am honestly not sure how that happened. The guy had 16 at halftime I think and ended up with 20. Jalen Suggs is however here, I keep on telling yall, he is a franchise centerpiece type of player. I truly think he is top 3 most important on this team, and could be the most important member very soon. This game he was the most impactful at least. His defense at point may as well be taken for granted (which honestly we really shouldn’t but its just always staggering). Suggs to me in a redraft is going top 2/3 when all is said and down. I dont think I am overhyping the guy. I did the working but his rookie year he was a top 10 defender in the NBA by the numbers, and top 5 guard ( I put him closer to top 3). He is looking even better now, teams have figured him out and have tried to tighten their passing and handles once guarded by Suggs but he is still showing just pure dominance as a lock. The intensity he brings to opponents, is always a treat to see, and he is an energy bringer and momentum shifter. Suggs is a superstar. He is here. HE IS A TOP 5 GUARD IN THE MAKING, top 5 defender, top 5 athleticism, and all packaged in a combo offensive package which allows him to be 3 levels. The guy is our future. He is a cornerstone piece. He is also an oncourt leader, who actually cares about winning, the most competitive player on the court, who takes every win personally and is willing to strive to get better. The type of player that franchises drool over, the type to lead a dynasty, the type to get statues and bring in a winning culture. Jalen Suggs is Here and the league needs to prepare.
Franz a very solid game, that may be underrated by many but he hit timely shots, was consistent on the field, was taking on the defensive pressure and still finishing tricky layups. He bounced back from that terrible game in Atlanta and to me showed that WC Franz killer mentality. He went straight to the defense in many plays and didn’t even argue for the fouls despite the contact. Just purely locked in. Same with his shooting from deep, just locked in, with little fluff and thats how I know Franz. The guy is a player that gets hyped in the middle of the game, gets loud, flexes, but once he is in that zone he a player that is pretty unguardable.
Paolo similar to Franz felt locked in this one, showed that ‘I am the best player on the court’ mindset that he sometimes forgets. He went out there to prove himself and did it fantastically. I truly think he was the best player on the court this one. He went head to head vs Giannis, and locked Giannis for the most part. Giannis had to start switching out of the Paolo matchup since he wasn’t getting anywhere. It was clearly part scheme in which they doubled at points but many times Paolo held his ground and completely negated Giannis from even getting close to the rim. Paolo was like top 5-8 low post defender last season if I remember right. He looked like an elite stopper this game, clogging gaps, holding the paint, keeping hands active. He also once again has a double double and not far from a triple double. I really believe Paolo will soon be a triple double machine and thats when he starts getting MVP calls. He is finding himself, challenging himself and proving that he can be the guy on the court. Many of his shots this game were pretty tough, nice moves that he created separation and he made the shot. Paolo is a rare type of player, I wont say his playmaking is Jokic-like yet but its definitely notable and elite for his size and body build. He is shifty, strong, athletic, can finish tough shots with finesse or also bulldoze through guys. Paolo can easily direct an offense, attack gaps (which he did pretty well this game), get to the free throw line, and shoot good from mid and decently from 3. I think he is an AS this year, he has been the best player on court many games with superstars and now its also leading to wins (partly because Mosley finally stopped tanking and made good lineups and use real centers and no more tankers).
Goga not much to say but I truly think he needs to continue being the starter or at least not go back to 3rd string. He is a true center, so many second chance points he has allowed this team to profit from, he sets strong screens, rebounds very well, is an actual rim deterrent and protector. He needs to work on his help a bit but he has shown great flashes and great timing on blocks and swipes. I feel like Goga fits the SL maybe not perfectly but better than anybody else on this squad. He is also low usage which allows more Franz Suggs Paolo creation which is preferred. Wendell deserves another shot imo just because his shooting from corner is also useful, but he really needs to study how Goga positioned himself, how he boxed out, and how he played drop or paint protection.
JI is a DPOY candidate once again. I truly think so. He needs some more PT but its very apparent and media folks seem to be paying attention. JI has had many minutes this game locking Giannis also, and when I say locking I mean LOCKING. Giannis could do nothing about JI at points. It was a dominant showing from him. I think its a stamina issue for JI right now as he started to slow down towards the end of the game but he is a VERY HIGH LEVEL defender and needs to be retained. Keeping him and Moe together could be a new version of JI and Vuc combo. Offense and Defense. JI to me was the third most impactful after Suggs and Paolo. It was gamechanging defense and it did just that change the game and pretty much secured this win.
Moe to me is tied with his brother at 4/5 for most impactful for this win this game. Moe has really come around, he knows how to find his spots, knows how to get little victories, and takes advantage of sleeping defensives. He has also become a more reliable shooter, and became a pretty decent rebounder. He always was a person who hustled and fought for extra chances but now he is doing it smartly, getting little advantages and making big advantages for his team. It all adds up, and I hope he is retained. I do really like the offense and defense he has going with JI. Moe is been very good this year and I hope the team is willing to spend a little to bring him back for many years.
Mosley was great this one, I do like his adjustments mid game. I still feel like he can get better, but he is finding winning moves, like putting in Goga and JI during a part in the 4Q to stave off a potential run from the other team bench guys, then bringing in AB at the perfect time to add some more onball defense. I personally wish he found uses for Jett since I think he can open many plays and unique sets for this team but I do think Mosley is finding groove if this game can be replicated. I still think he should be fired for letting those other games slip through this teams hands, that Atlanta one was terrible, so was Dallas, but maybe he is feeling the hot seat and making a more pointed effort on lineup adjustments and the timings. There was still a point that the Bucks made a random run after the Magic had a strong hold but other than that a pretty well coached game, with good time management and good lineups for what the opponents throw out. I do still feel like Goga can finish some games, but JI has been pretty great so far but his stamina is an issue.
Good all around game, I really like this starting lineup, I think Goga and AB need to continue with the pt even if injured guys come back. Not sure if that means no Gary or something but its working.
Orlando are good
Both offense and defense looking really nice so far, they have a shocking amount of depth really. Basically everyone they played today I rate and Fultz didn’t even play
A LOT of basketball left. That said, a less than ideal start to the season for the Bucks.
can’t help but dream about 2028, 2029 an 2030 bucks unprotected draft picks.
So mm Middleton is cooked
But but but, the pick n roll…
Well fuck Markelle Fultz I guess
I’m not saying it’s time to panic for the Bucks…
All I’m saying is maybe it should be in consideration
The bucks’ll be fine but damn they look weak rn.
Bro what is this Magic team lol
WE DEMAND TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY
Great game by Suggs, Banchero and Black. Middleton is fat, what happened to him? Giannis acting entitled, he’s turning into a heel. It wasn’t that competitive, Orlando really dominated this game. It was entertaining. Buck’s coach isn’t really good enough.
