Assuming that you (magically learn) know Mandarin to a native level if you pick China

Is USA actively genociding the Uyghurs right now?

Not the fake genocide people though Biden/Kamala was doing. I mean actual genocide camps and forced sterilizations.

Is USA actively genociding the Uyghurs right now?

Is China? The answer seems to also be no. If you’re interested in evidence for this claim here are two pieces that I found convincing.

      1. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, a 57-member organization made up of mostly majority-Islamic nations, released this report in 2019 on Muslim communities and Muslim minorities in the non-OIC Member States. It states that the OIC:

Welcomes the outcomes of the visit conducted by the General Secretariat’s delegation upon invitation from the People’s Republic of China; commends the efforts of the People’s Republic of China in providing care to its Muslim citizens; and looks forward to further cooperation between the OIC and the People’s Republic of China.

      1. That same year over 50 nations, again most of which are majority-Islamic, signed a letter to the UN Human Rights Commission approving of the de-radicalization efforts in Xinjiang:

We take note that terrorism, separatism and religious extremism has caused enormous damage to people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, which has seriously infringed upon human rights, including right to life, health and development. Faced with the grave challenge of terrorism and extremism, China has undertaken a series of counter-terrorism and deradicalization measures in Xinjiang, including setting up vocational education and training centers. Now safety and security has returned to Xinjiang and the fundamental human rights of people of all ethnic groups there are safeguarded. The past three consecutive years has seen not a single terrorist attack in Xinjiang and people there enjoy a stronger sense of happiness, fulfillment and security. We note with appreciation that human rights are respected and protected in China in the process of counter-terrorism and deradicalization.

We appreciate China’s commitment to openness and transparency. China has invited a number of diplomats, international organizations officials and journalist to Xinjiang to witness the progress of the human rights cause and the outcomes of counter-terrorism and deradicalization there. What they saw and heard in Xinjiang completely contradicted what was reported in the media. We call on relevant countries to refrain from employing unfounded charges against China based on unconfirmed information before they visit Xinjiang.

These are mostly majority-Islamic nations who I think we can safely say have a vested interest in caring more about Muslim minorities than most, they have investigated and been satisfied that there is no Uyghur genocide in China. Personally I’m going to take their word over that of western media.

denies a currently active genocide and tries to equate it to the USA.

Ah, a typical .ml post. Yes.

denies a purported genocide for which there is little to no direct evidence for outside of western government/media’s unsupported claims, cites actual evidence - some of which I helpfully both linked and quoted - that against it, and doesn’t even mention the US save to quote your original claim (for which you provided no evidence.)

FTFY. Funny how people see .ml and just stop reading. If you want to talk about genocide I’d love to discuss the US-supported one in Gaza that is actually going on right now and for which we have figurative mountains of evidence. No? You’d rather scurry back to your echo chamber than have your worldview challenged by someone who might have some idea what they’re talking about? This is my surprised face.

Yes yes yes. And there’s no difference between Trump and Kamala. I’ve had this discussion before.

If you don’t like it, then either get a different server or get more creative and less predictable. .ml users all sound the same to me. I know where this discussion is going and I’m just shortcutting it to the end to save us some time.

Glory to China, death to America, Imperialism, NATO expansion and all that jazz. Yes I know I know.

lolwut?! I don’t think you have had this conversation before - you don’t even appear to be having it right now - but don’t let me interrupt you. Please, tell me more about these brilliant, astute insights you’ve had about me as a person from one punctuation mark and a couple letters after my name.

.ml users all sound the same to me.

I’m sure, but I imagine that has a lot more to do with you sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting ‘la la la I can’t hear you!’ than anything anyone else might have to say. When you’d like to have an actual conversation instead of dismissing whole swaths of people with your ‘see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’ routine you know where to find me. I’ll definitely be holding my breath for that one. :P
