Just wanted to share a quick low-light shot of the Ball Engineer Master II GMT (ref: GM1032-S1-BK) from my previous post since some people were asking about the glow.
Since it’s been sitting in a box for close to 20 years without a service, the glow is very faint. I took a 6 second exposure shot of the watch to get the best possible look at it. I absolutely LOVE the different colours, and I really want to swap in new tritium tubes to get it back to it’s full glory.
I still haven’t taken it to a Ball service center yet so I don’t know if they have fitting tritium tubes for this specific model, but I gave them a call for a quotation on tritium tubes replacement in general. Got a quote for roughly $17 for a single tube. Since I have 16 tubes here, that amounts to $272 to swap them all. It’s pricey, but damn would I love to see this glow like brand new again.

Faint glow or not, still love this watch to bits!
