As the title suggests I have a modest collection that is mostly 100 to 500 dollar watches. I have owned Longines, Tissots, Bulova, and more expensive Seikos but they didn’t hold me or I had other things to do with the money that felt more important in the moment. Interested in people’s thoughts and what you would pick up next if you had a collection such as this.

Ya I haven’t seen that Citizen before but definitely is my favorite out of all these.

Thank you. The Citizen big date currently needs servicing but it’s a cool watch. it is a perpetual calender.

Nice collection. Personally, I’m more into affordable rather than expensive watches as well, though I do admit to owning a few of those as well.

Watch collecting can be expensive, but doesn’t NEED to be. From personal experience, some 100 euro watches bring more joy than some 1000 euro watches. The thing that attracts me to watches is usually interesting stories and designs, not the sticker price.

One thing that’s definitely lacking from this collection would be a Vostok Amphibia. A highly regarded, uniquely designed dive watch with a lot of charm. It’s a Soviet-era watch which leads to some interesting compromises.

Thank you. I have had Vostoks in my collection before but currently don’t own any. They are weird and wacky and I appreciate them for the modding potential.

Thanks. The Citizen is a NJ0100-89A. I put it on a leather strap as the bracelet isn’t the most comfortable.

I’m in a similar boat. I’ve got 10 watches right now and most are in the low $100s price range, two are sun $100. One 4 digit. I think I’m still in the three digit accumulation mode gradually moving toward mid to upper three digit watches. Some people move faster but I’ve already got a few that I rarely wear
