Google is testing a new feature to replace all those copy-and-paste emoji websites. You know, when you want to know what an emoji is for a specific emotion and you go to Google and it brings up websites that have the emojis and you can click copy to your clipboard... Well, Google is doing that right in search.
I think the windows emoji picker has ascii emojis but yeah it’s missing from the others. If it’s only a couple you can add them to a shortcut or pin them on your clipboard.
#1 is more ascii art than an emoji, but that could be a cool thing to integrate into a picker—customizable ascii text that you can search by keyword.
It exists on the iOS keyboard! (In Japanese) ( ^ω^ )
Although, it’s not customisable
HeliBoard on Android also offers the ascii emoticons
