Compared to the other best 3 players of each decade, will Jokic/Giannis/Embiid fall short in terms of how long they will have been dominant for? I get that they’ve collectively won the past 5 MVPs but they’ve only won 2 championships combined and while they are at their peaks I don’t see them having very long primes and I think they’ll be done being dominant, number 1 options on a title team by around 2027 which means they would have been good from 2019-2027 which isn’t that long compared to others. For example, the top 3 players of the 2010s are Lebron, KD, and Curry and all 3 of them are in their mid thirties still playing at an MVP level and could be the top 3 from 2011-2023. For the 2000s, from 1999-2010, Shaq, Kobe, and Duncan were the top 3 players of that era and their time was much longer. So that begs the question, are Jokic/Giannis/Embiid gonna even be the top 3 of the 2020s, and if not who?

Giannis and Jokic are playing in a smaller market team with less superstars than a traditional superstar player plays with.
