Strange. I wasn’t able to find any information on the Watch brand, but when k searched for “credit Susie gold watch”, a lot of unknown Swiss brands seem to produce inexpensive watches with an ounce of gold embedded in the dial. Judging from the names of the brands and the movements used in the watches, my best guess would be that the the practice of embedding cheap quartz watches is done to make otherwise inexpensive, relatively cheaply made watches more desirable by ensuring they always retain some sort of resale value. I’d never heard of this practice until now and I think it’s a really neat gift from grandpa. Wear it in good health, I hope this helped a little.
