Hey, so as the title says, i dropped out of college because of health problems and other things, i live in a third world country, i am the only son and my father has 3 lands 2 houses ‘one in the capital the other in our hometown’ because of a collapsed economic situation in my country, the salary of my father is 150$ per month, investing isn’t his thing and he keeps his properties untouchable, i was in med school and i have no ideo about investing or what to do with these properties. My father is down to sell a one piece of land for 100k $ , so we can have an income . What is the best thing to do in this situation? If we sell something so we can have cash to invest it or to open a business, is it a good idea? what type of investment or businesses do you suggest?
thank you

Depends on what country you’re in and if the value of the land is actually $100,000. Are you talking USD?

I wouldn’t sell land, they aren’t making any more of those, and a land is a asset the value is only expected to go up and up in the future. its possible that next year the value of it goes up 40k, which is year of work basically.

but best thing to do in business is find the best deal or make the best deal. and investment opportunities, thats a business in itself buy low sell high, you have good investment already and your dad seems to be a smart man already 3 lands and 2 houses.

and your perspective on economic situation is wrong if you know anything about investing, money is always being made some how, no matter the recession, and it alludes to clear issues or problems which you can be the solution too, which will be good business.

for instance the pandemic happen and the value of mask went up because demand was created etc

How many acres? If any or combination of the lands is large enough, you could sell one to finance a cattle, lamb/sheep or chicken operation. Not sure about your country but there are a lot of youtube videos based in US that goes through detailed finances of growing lamb and sheep. It looks decent in profitability.

The one that worth 100k usd is located in an habitat area so morally I can’t lease it to people that would put any animals there . There is another one 3000sq2 where it’s possible to do that . Thank you for your idea i’ll ask more about it
