    We are so desensitized to it but how is this shit not investigated. The amount of money riding on games now should have the fbi all over this type of shit. One play here and there isn’t an issue, it’s that this happens every single day with such blatant reffing.

      Lol it is investigated. Problem is these are all internal investigations. Wait until you find out our financial institutions function the same way.

      Actually the shadier shit going on is what they are doing with advanced analytics. They provide their player tracking dataset to these sports books so they can optimize their betting lines, but restrict access from any open source analytics (like 538) so people can’t make smarter bets/build their own models. If that’s not illegal it should be.

      The FBI tried. Stern purposely blew their cover and ended their investigation because it IS crooked.

      No different than the WWE, only difference is the fans of wrestling know it’s scripted and love the production anyways. NBA is like that for me. It’s not fully scripted or anything but there are outcomes the league wants and nudges towards, but I still enjoy it.
