This is one of those moments that makes you feel old. I remember watching this on TV. I had friends who were at the game. 20 years ago seems so long but also not at the same time. I miss that Pistons team, and the rivalry with the Pacers. The league was good back then. So many championship caliber teams and somehow they all had enforcers

The funniest thing was that David Stern, for some reason, was in attendance and witnessed it first hand. And players did nit care all that much

You may be mistaking that for the 1994 brawl between the Knicks and Bulls. Stern was not at the Palace for the Malice. Instead, the word is he was on his way to the kitchen for his second dessert when he first caught wind (seriously).

We still pretending this was a tragedy and not premium entertainment, or can we just outright admit this was awesome how?

It’s always fun to be reminded that one of the worst moments in your favorite sport is caused by your favorite team.

Cherry on top is that we had a legit chance to win it all that year
