Cade Cunningham has shown flashes of being a great player. But he is not Luka. He cannot be given the ball every time up and create great offense out of nothing. He has other talents like a better off ball game and a good 3 point shot, but by making him have the ball every play, and giving him 0 solid shooters to play with, Cade has to drive into a mass of people in the paint which will also drive up his turnovers per game. And I don’t even particularly blame Monty Williams since the roster is just so pathetic. The only other reliable shooter on the team besides Cade is Bojan, everyone else is just some low volume shooter who can be sagged off of and make Cade’s life hell. I mean Ausar Thompson is good, but I’ve seen him airball wide open 3s.

Troy Weaver either needs to go to a hypnotist so he can get rid of his fetish for non-shooting athletes, or he needs to go if the Pistons continue to be a laughingstock.

    Monty should start Ivey over Hayes for starters. Thompson and Duren are good enough defenders to cover for the defensive drop from Hayes to Ivey.

    He hasn’t looked good at all. I wouldn’t build a team around him. He would be a good 6th man. Lonnie Walker and Monk are better than him

    I feel bad for Troy Weaver, he was great with the Thunders front office from what I’ve heard and at the time I thought he was great at gathering talent and getting lots of picks but right now, the product looks horrible. Feel bad for Troy Weaver, I remember Bobby Marks was giving him rave reviews when he signed with Pistons.

    It’s really sad what this once proud franchise has become. Unfortunately I don’t think Cade can be that guy and Troy weaver has monumentally failed at even attempting to put him in a position to succeed. I don’t know where they go to from here.
