Because we’re all pirates and we were streaming the broadcast.

The home team announcers are always going to be homers.

Why were we sharing a thunder highlight with the other teams announcer? Because that was the broadcast used for streaming.

The only people’s opinion on the Warriors broadcasters that matters is the warriors fans.

During the Pelicans/Wolves game, there announcers were just ripping the wolves and the pels could do no wrong. Its annoying, but thats what I get for not paying to watch the wolves broadcast.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being a homer in a local broadcast. It’s intended primarily for the surrounding area for the most part so for those fans it’ll make it more exciting if the local broadcasters get hyped when the team is doing well.

But, homerism shouldn’t blind you to reality and I think that’s where the problem comes in with the Warriors announcers. It’s like here in Chicago we have Stacey King who is a homer for the Bulls and we had Hawk Harrelson who was a homer for the White Sox. Stacey King does it well but Hawk was often miserable to listen to because he’d always act like the umps were out to get the White Sox or he’d throw tantrums if the team was losing.
