Past example: Bam Adebayo (became an All Star immediately after Hassan Whiteside was traded away)
My guess: I am convinced that Onyeka Okongwu is the next great NBA center, and we are one Clint Capela trade away from setting him loose on the NBA, and his recently-inked extension (4-yr, $62 million) will be a steal.
I think Kuminga on any other team would be a way more impactful player, he just doesn’t work or fit with the warriors
Naz Reid
Kennard could be spot up shooter who makes the right decision everytime Lebron needs for a title run
Jordan Hawkins
Cole Anthony
Gradey Dick. His shot isn’t falling off the bench, I think being a starter would give him back his intense confidence. Ok go ahead and downvote me now.
Hardy can be better than Poole
Always dream he’s on the raptors though
Cam Thomas. Cam was supposed to be coming off the bench this year but after 2-3 starters got injured to start the season, he became a starter and started playing like an all star, and probably won’t be coming off the bench anymore once the nets are fully healthy
Tari Eason for sure
Jonathan Isaac! Lol
Maybe someday, but the Magic are smart for keeping him with Banchero and Franz. The height and skill of those two is really the future of the NBA
Like Curry after Monta was traded?
I feel like castleton on the lakers could be a good backup big somewhere. He’s on a two way contract currently
Cam Thomas. He is the best scorer on the team, hands down and Im not sure why he doesnt get more playing time.
I’m not really sure why the Hawks should have any urgency to move Capela on to start Okongwu, especially now that Okongwu has been extended on a great team-friendly deal.
Neither one is bucking for more minutes/touches/a bigger role, both are on great contracts for their production/potential, and Capela is still as good as ever at what he does (his ultra-low foul rate while being a physical defensive centre is low-key amazingly helpful), so why not just continue to let them share the centre role, stick with 48 combined minutes of great low-mistake production, and consider that position “solved” for the Hawks?
Immanuel Quickley. He’s stuck behind Brunson but he’s really really good and would be amazing on a young team like the Spurs.
