Hey, fellow 3D enthusiasts.
As 3D artists, we have often wondered at the ‘magic’ of generative AI. A model that takes a massive chunk of our day to create can seemingly be made through software in less time.
Companies pushing this AI software often say that the finished model is complete AI and no human has anything to do with it. But, we have found through research on Reddit forums and by talking to fellow 3D artists that it is just a cock and bull story that companies are promoting to get more client contracts. In reality, they are using more 3D artists to do the same work in less time to give the impression that the model is AI-generative.
Not only that, the companies are also manipulating the models to have a few inconsistencies here and there to strengthen their stance further.
I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this. Share your experiences and spill the tea on your favorite models seemingly made by Generative AI, and let’s figure out if we’re really on the precipice of something world-changing or if it is just a scam in honest words.
yeah, it’s definitely sketchy how some companies are pushing this AI narrative. but i’m optimistic about the potential of text-to-3D technology in the near future. exciting times ahead!
Where are your sources for your claims? Which models? Which companies? Which of their claims?
