I’ll keep it short, I started traveling 9 months ago and was supposed to stop 3 months ago and was doing light freelance work. Now I am wanting to get a remote job and am finding a bunch that say “work from anywhere” I am still not in my home country so I don’t know how onboarding would work. So I just wanted to hear personal testimonies if you have experienced it? What was on boarding like? Was explaining your situation difficult?

i’ve been working remotely while traveling for a few years now and onboarding has been smooth for me. i work in marketing and communication, and my employers have been understanding of my situation. just be upfront about your location and communicate regularly with your team.

oh man, getting a remote job while traveling is a game changer. i found a company that’s fully remote and they shipped me a laptop. everything else is done online, onboarding was smooth. i used LinkedIn to find the gig. highly recommend it!
