I personally thought it was dumb as hell idea.
But seeing how excited my kid is about it to the point he updates me constantly when its a “tournament game daddy!” makes me realize I am just a stupid old grumpy nephew.
Not to mention the games have been great.
the issue I have is how it forces the season game schedule into an indefinite and precarious state to accommodate it, with them having the need to shuffle games out and in through the rest of the year, messing with game-rest intervals and length of travel for the league, and making it difficult to plan out in advance for fans who want to see live games
