So I’ve done a good amount of solo / 1-3 person portraits and I’ve always liked “golden” hour and blue hour the very best, as most would probably agree. I have some opportunities to do some large extended family portraits and was wondering if you guys have tips or preferences for lighting, angles for lighting (in respect to the sun, time of day etc), since there’s a lot more people it feels like there might be different strategies from typical portraits. Any advice or tips would be much appreciated!

Big strobes.
Reflectors work great as well.
You’re probably looking to get some fill.
One of those stands with a boom arm holding a reflector can do it.
