I want to start a podcast and looking for some advice on how to start and what are some of topics of interest that people will listen to.

The thing that’s worked for me in keeping it sustainable is filming 3-6 in a morning and then scheduling them out one per week. I try to keep the topics evergreen versus current events, although there is value in both.

Start with the ‘why’ – is it to share knowledge, crack jokes, or maybe hype up your biz? Know your goal; it’s your roadmap. Picking a topic? Go with what fires you up and where you’re clued in. Your passion’s contagious, and listeners dig that.

Now, gear up! You’ll need decent mics and recording software that doesn’t bail on you mid-sentence. And don’t forget a reliable podcast host; it’s like your digital stage. When cooking up content, variety is the spice – mix up solo rants, cool interviews, and maybe some group chats. Keep it fresh, y’know?

To build your audience, you gotta hustle on social media, maybe a website too. Actually, I’ve seen some peeps use Boost App Social for upping their social media game. Might help you stand out.

Mind the copyright rules, especially if you’re grooving to tunes. You don’t want any legal party poopers. That’s the gist!

Relatively minor thing, but please normalize your audio if you have multiple people speaking. I listen to a biotech podcast and the volumes and sound quality are all over the place. Great information, but painful to listen to.
