The most ridiculous debate in NBA history which has virtually ruined the sport. Eras, Players, Teams being slandered for this debate. Fans who Stan so much for players it’s ridiculous to the point we see adults arguing who is the goat like they are talking about their children. People now believing that in the year 2000 the NBA hit the superhuman athlete button and now everyone has a 50 inch vertical and can run like the wind. Any one before 2000 is now a unathletic plumber, and can’t play in today’s era. I truly don’t think that fans understand that nearly everyone who is the best of their era is a genetic freak and is the best athlete/body type in their era, from Lebron, MJ, Possibly Shaq, Kareem,Wilt/Bill Russel to Mikan. When it comes to they can’t play in this era talk it doesn’t work for the NBA when u have some of the most athletic people in NBA history who are miles ahead of their time. I have never seen the media or fans of any other sport say to someone who has some of the most rings in NBA history slander you for not winning more acting as though you should have won every year. They don’t want you to remember them winning only losing I have never seen a sport like this. Maldini in football has been to the finals 8 times he has won 5 times no media or fans will never slander him but in the NBA it’s so different. I didn’t even know he had been to 10 finals until last week and that’s because it ain’t talked about because in the football media we talk about players in a positive light. I think this happens in the NBA because the media is biased towards players such as Nick Wright, Shannon Sharpe, Stephan A Smith they take personal shots at players which the casual the regurgitates and uses over and over again. In the end I’m probably gonna be downvoted and honestly I have more to say but people are probably not even gonna read all of this even I wouldn’t.

Sorry man I’m just passionate and I just started to rant.

Yeah the GOAT debate can be fun but the casuals usually ruin it by thinking that their perspective is actually objective instead of realizing that in reality it’s all subjective.
