Obviously at higher price points we tend to see watches with better finishing, along with more complex movements, more premium materials and so on. My question is, at what price point do you get the highest quality of finishing possible on a watch (including movement finishing)?

    Law of diminishing returns. It’s not like a hard cap. It’s just that the next level costs a lot for small increments. Ultimately we all have a budget that we’re comfortable with.

    It’s not a question of price but rather of manufacturer. For example a million dollar RM will never ever ever have a finishing as nice as a A.Lange&Söhne 1815 for 25k

    Some do it better than others. That’s just the reality. So in terms of finishing I would say it stops at Lange. Vacheron is a close one but from personal experience I’m confident to say that Lange is number 1 at whatever price point.
