Do you think Luka will end his career with a few MVPs and FMVPs or is it more likely he goes down the harden route of being a great player, winning an MVP but never getting over the hump just because his competition was better. Imo I think he’ll end up similar to harden maybe with 2 MVPs but I don’t think he’ll win a chip, maybe he’ll get to a finals at one point. But if he ever leaves dallas, it’s up in the air cause if he teams up with another top 10 player they’re probably gonna win a chip. The guy I see being a multi time FMVP in this era is SGA just because I think his team has the potential to become really good and he would be the best player on that team. What are your guys thoughts?

The Luka/Harden comparisons have gotten real lazy lol. Aside from the stepback 3 and having a high usage rate they really don’t play similarly at all. Also Harden while still being an amazing player is a playoff shrinker, Luka elevates in the playoffs

I think he’s quite unique, a mix of a bunch of different players. Luka has a post game and a midrange game which Harden doesn’t really, and Harden relied on his burst and strength while Luka relies on his handle, size, balance etc. I don’t think every nba player has a direct comparison.

Yeah, not as advanced as Luka’s though I think. From what I remember it was mostly stop and pops and such. Luka plays like a less efficient (and lower volume) Kobe in the midrange lol

Luka gets better in the playoffs, led his team to the WCF, multiple 50 win seasons with a trash roster, and is improving every season. How is he not a winning player?

He’s nothing like Dirk. Luka is a winner, if Dallas don’t get him the team to win multiple chips then he is gone. So Cuban would have to stop managing Mavs like a company for few years and open his wallet and build a worthy team around Luka.

he can definitely be the #1 option for a Championship team. Its the rest of the team that will be the question.
