Kind of a random question, but I was wondering since the local g league team is offering half price black Friday tickets and I wanted to check them out lol. We’ve all heard of the Scalabrine quote of being closer to Lebron than normies are to him, but the G league vs college comparison seems to be closer. The G leaguers have experience and more physical development on their side, but the best college teams have more high end talent even if they are young. What does everyone think? Could the lower end G league teams compete with or even beat the best college teams?

G Leauge players would dominate. People make these arguments all the time and it’s just never close. It’s similar to how people used to argue about the rookie vs sophomore matchup the NBA would do during all star weekend and the sophomores just dominate every year. A college team is not competing against a G league team.
G League would dominate NCAA. The worst bench players on any NBA team would be elite college players.
Almost any professional basketball team would dominate. Americans overrate NCAA basketball.
Top college teams regularly play exhibition matches with professional teams in preseason and they usually win.
G League would win 80% of their games against top 25 ranked teams. Maybe more. There’s levels to this.
Do we get to pick our college team? Because I’ll easily take 2015 Wildcats over Raptors 905.

What about the best NCAA team of all-time vs the worst G-League team of all time? I don’t know what teams would fit either criteria though.
Could the worst g league team lose once in a while? Sure, but they’d be far and away the best team in college basketball every single year.
