I’m not sure what these watches are called. I forget which watch I saw but I saw one that does an entire rotation once every 1/6th of a second, and found the constantly busy activity and movement of the dial to be really pretty. I’m looking to obtain one that has a similar constant movement.
Some quartz chronographs can display fractions of a second.
Many JLC Duometre models have a split second register that rotates once per second.
Zenith Defy El Primero 21 can do that. The problem is, with a hand this fast, the power reserve gets emptied within a very short time.
I believe the term you’re looking for is foudroyante
That mechanism has a small hand make one revolution each second, divided by the frequency of the balance.
Foudroyante watches are pretty rare and uncommon.
Something similar is the Zenith Defy which has a small seconds hand make one revolution every 10 seconds.
Like this Zenith Defy Skyline?
Bulova Lunar Pilot have the 1/10th subdial do 1 rotation per second if you start the chrono function.
