I’m primarily a football fan (specifically a Jets fan, yeah I know), and while I actually quite like basketball as a game, I had never gotten into the NBA. Now that there seems to be less than a snowball’s chance in Hell of my Jets making it to the playoffs, it seems like the perfect time to start getting into the NBA season! My only dilemma is what team I should root for. I’m mainly deciding between the Knicks and the Nets, I tend to root for the NYC met area above all. That being said, I am completely open to suggestions of other teams, as if I can avoid it, I’d rather not get stuck behind another team as outright cursed as the Jets. So, members of r/nba, which team should I root for?
Nets are the closest NBA equivalent to the Jets. Rn they’re somewhere between rebuilding and trying to compete.
If I were you I would just watch for a couple of years and see which players/teams you naturally gravitate towards. That’s what I’m doing with football rn.
