Probably not the ideal place to ask but I plan to archive (hoard) them so I thought I would ask here. I want to buy the FLAC files for a specific artists music but I haven’t been able to find the right place to buy them. I checked bandcamp and they only have the FLACs for their music up to 2017. I planned to buy the CD and rip the FLACs off of them but they don’t sell CD for most of their albums any more. Any other places I can find them?
Qobuz is the single best place to buy albums in flac.
No luck but I don’t really like the idea of a subscription model.
They have a Download Store as well as a streaming service. You can definitely buy and download DRM-free FLACs from them.
The download store is seperate from the streaming plan.
You can buy individual files or albums without a subscription.
Are they on streaming platforms? If they are, chances are their music is downloadable on Quboz in HiRes quality. If not flac, likely wav at least, and you can just convert them yourself.
Qobuz. You can buy music without having a subscription.

Strange. Perhaps they stopped making FLACs, but … why.
Would it be possible to contact the artist & ask if they can post more FLAC to Bandcamp?
It depends on your music preferences but I use 7digital and beatport too to find stuff
I’ve used 7digital and hdtracks.
Word of caution on 7digital; I’ve found that sometimes they’ll lose the licence for the files so my downloads will no longer be accessible. Always download immediately and backup.
Also found one file on a NIN album corrupt.
I actually did have that happen, thanks for pointing that out. I had a hard time finding an album and wanted to just redownload it when I found out about the licensing. I eventually found it in the completely buried wrong spot but it definitely made me mad at first.
I still think they are good to find stuff but take into account to download it immediately.
