I’m more concerned about how awful Zion’s short jumpers have looked recently. That one was ridiculously short. He has amazing touch around the basket but it doesn’t seem to carry over to beyond a couple feet. Yes I know he got 32/6/5 but he has to work so hard for it, his efficiency is down this year and he’s turnover prone from driving so much. He also gets nothing easy anymore. No lobs no back doors. I don’t know if it’s him not moving on O or the Pels offense.
Glad you called it out. I’ve seen Pelicans fans calling him one of the best scorers in the league. The counter has always been, Zion hasn’t played a single playoff game in his career. If New Orleans makes the post season, his lack of shooting will most likely get exposed.
He’s always started the season slowly he picks up around this time of year. This was actually the first game all season where zion was consistently bringing the ball up and effectively playing point-zion and having the keys to the offense. He looks fine to me just missed some easy ones he usually makes, but his efficiency is already starting to climb back up, Averaging 26/5/5 on 60% the last 5 games. Pels 4-1 too.
