Low discharge NIMH. Eneloop pioneered this and are very good. I use them for everything. For flash there are very expensive eneloop pros. I have some Amazon basics high capacity that work very well. The high capacity is like eneloop pros.

The eneloop pros and Amazon high capacity recharge the flash faster but discharge faster in a drawer and have only 200-300 or so charges in their life vs 1000 for standard envelops.

I have been using eneloops for years they were the first ones that came out with good high low discharge recharable NIMH’s. Even 5+ years later they are still going strong.

I have a mix of eneloop and Lidl cheap ones and both work very similar.

Just make sure shop cheapos weight enough, you can ask in shop to weight the pack, it should be at least 26g per battery package. Usualy they come in lighweight plastic, so you can assume just few g more for it. So if a pack of 4 weights around 110g you’re good. I have like 20 of them and they work great.

If you haven’t bought the flash yet get the one with the rechargeable lithium batteries. I bought the original first because it was cheaper but quickly switched. Even 4 eneloop’s were only giving me around 100 shots before I had to switch them out, and recycle time was horrible. With the larger rechargeable batteries I can easily get 1000 shots with a much faster recycle time. And I don’t have to remember to bring a handful of extra batteries.
