i am asking of curiosity since i heard some sold it again since they could not stand the treble with it.
but i really dont have any issues with my pair after i gave it time to adjust.
in comparison, my hd 660s2 still sounds very good, but lacks in soundstage and it is a darker headphone for sure which is great for some songs but it is not really an allrounder to me
also to me the 109 just seems more alive to me
I no longer hear a treble peak in mind as I have had them for well over a year. I think it’s a fantastic sounding headphone for the money and will never sell them.
I got mine like 6 months ago Also i demoed the foctal clear mg and empys. Both where fantastic headphones but nothing outstanding that would make me want to upgrade.
Use it and love it. My Empyrean II arrived today, and now my internal debate begins about whether or not I’ll keep the 109…
I would love to have the Empyreans!
I’ve never had treble problems with them. I’ve had some with the DT 770s, but never the 109s. They’re my main daily driver and I love them.
What’s everyone using to drive them?
They sound great out of my MacBook but I saw an article saying they sound way better with a good amp, but were recommending multi thousand pound Burson rigs.
Been daily driving them for a year
Second comment, so yes I use them but I have two others though they I do prefer. I switch between them depending on mood and laziness
Haven’t looked back since I got them. The pairing with the Mojo 2 is absolute magic.
You are asking others about a headphone that you own? Sorry but this makes no sense to me. Would you get rid of it if others said you should. Sorry it just seems a strange question to ask. If it something you like it is something you like and needs no others endorsement. The HD-660S2 is very good in my opinion as well.
I get what you’re saying. It’s just that some are not as confident in their preferences and decisions as you are, that’s all, so they’re seeking some sort of encouragement. The older we get, the less we succumb to outside influence of our opinions, and I imagine the OP is much younger than you and I.
Sound preferences is a personal thing and should not be an affirmation of what others think as then it is not yours.
I still listen to mine. They sound great.
I use them almost everyday.
Yes.
Had a pair for some time but had to return them. Phenomenal headphones, but it was an issue of comfort. I have large ears, and they were rubbing against the metal driver cover
Same issue here, drove me crazy. I ended up using some Dekoni pads meant for Beyerdynamics but they fucked with the tuning. Also the elastic headband was really microphonic.
Eventually got a set of Auteur Classics and the 109s were sold shortly after.
I generally liked the sound of the 109s but I had comfort issues with them so I sold them a few months after getting them.
I was always curious about 109 Pro but, is that treble more peaky than Clear OGs?
try them. i have no issues at all. i demoed the clear MG and i find both fantastic headphones
