Alright, I’m gonna try and keep this short, but I’ve got a pretty cool first watch story and I thought I’d share it. Please feel free to share your thoughts, experiances and opinions.
So over the past year my grandparents have become really close friends with former Statler brother and country music hall of famer, Jimmy Fortune. Now, I haden’t heard of him before nor did I listen to his music, but I knew he was the real deal, anyways my grandparents invited my family and I to go vacation with them and Jimmy, and when we we’re out shopping I really wanted to buy a watch, I had been into watches for a while after I first watch-ed (hehe) Hodinkee’s Talking Watches with John Mayer on youtube, anyways I noticed Jimmy had a pretty cool watch on so I asked him about it, he had me try it on and he was telling me what it was, how long he had it, etc. Then he looks up at me, says “How would you like to keep it?”. He caught me completely off guard, and I absolutley loved it. Now here I am a year later wearing Jimmy Fortune’s watch (Citizen Brysen Chrono) and loving every second of it.
Good move with the titanium.
I refuse to buy any watch that comes with bracelet that isn’t titanium.
Yeah, espically on a bigger watch, I’ve got a Seiko 5 that’s stainless steel and it’s probably twice as heavy
Your first watch should be a Rolex
I have a Brycen too. I love it. My wrist is just big enough to pull it off. I didn’t know Jimmy Fortune wears it?
Yeah, he basically only wears Citizen and Bulova
