Users of X3D CPUs in ASRock motherboards seem to be at particularly high risk.

To be fair motherboard makers have been know to really push the power envelope by default. Which is dumb. Defaults should always be minimum standard specs for everything.
Makes sense. Considering the low quality of the software that comes out of ASRock and alike, I’m surprised anything works at all.
And this is why I didn’t buy AsRock even though their board had good price and best onboard audio. I’m not gonna risk an expensive CPU.
