Giannis is averaging 30-10-4.5 on 60% FG with a block and a steal a game yet he is not top 5 on Kia NBA MVP Ladder or any other ladder I can find?

    Of course.

The Bucks getting Dame (stupidly) erased any chance Giannis ever wins another MVP.

30/10/5 on 60% would be a career night for 99% of the league.

That’s an AVERAGE night for Giannis.

Giannis and KD are firmly in the category “All-Time Greats” so talking about them is deemed redundant.

He’s not being overlooked on Reddit.

But yeah, that MVP ladder is wack. Giannis and KD should be in the top 3 or at least top 5

Depends how you look at it. If the MVP is for the most valuable player, Giannis isn’t yet in the top-5, with how Jokic, Shai, Embiid, Halliburton, and KD have played so far.

It’s not about stats, it’s about Bucks added Dame so Giannis can’t get MVP type credit.

It’s about who the voters will vote for, not best player.

Even if that’s what it should be.

Ahead of who? More than 5 people can be worthy of the top 5. Its not like them being out is an outrage, the ones ahead have just been better

As dumb as it is the moment the Bucks traded for Dame Giannis’s MVP chances went down drastically lol

    Look beyond the basic stats.

FTr, TRB%, AST%, TOV%, DRtg, WS/48, PER, BPM and VORP all down or at some of his poorer levels in a number of years. By Giannis’ recent lofty standards, he really hasn’t had a great start to the season.

It’s crazy how even when he’s having an off start to the season, he can still average 30/10/4.5. Like, he’s one of the worst free throw shooters in the league, and he can’t shoot a three point shot to save his life, but somehow, some way he’s gonna get you 30 points a game with rebound and assists to boot. He really is one of this generations best players.

He and KD are both doing silly stuff and are kind of afterthoughts. It’s pretty crazy.

The LeBron and KD treatment. It’s an “expected” stats and anything below that is bad. I believe Jokic is getting the same treatment, insane playmaker especially for a center, generational player, crazy stats that people just aren’t surprised anymore.
