I have to assume you haven’t spent more than 10 minutes watching any of our games. He literally runs away from tackles and plays like 20 yards off the line of scrimmage. He’s good for a splash play once in a blue moon but his best years are long, long gone unfortunately.

Raiders need a dude who’s gonna change the culture. They need someone to get rid of the cycle of suck, and at minimum they look like they’re trying with Pierce

Loved Peters as a Raven. Loved his attitude. However, when his not locked in and motivated I wouldn’t want him anywhere near my team.

I was kind of sad we let Peters go and was coping by saying RYS was the younger/more physical/upside replacement. RYS was benched yesterday for a guy we signed late training camp so that didn’t even work out too well (don’t know if his hammy is affecting him in game tho).

I wasn’t sad to see him go after he (allegedly) tried to get into a fist fight with our coaching staff. Dude’s talented as hell, but his brain is currently orbiting Mars and we don’t know if he plans on coming back.

Can’t wait to see what team picks him up next to hype up their fanbase only for him to suck like always. Or have we done this enough times to admit that Marcus Peters sucks outright now?

Oh no, 2-2 from an interim coach after playing one of the best teams in the AFC? Heaven forbid!

People need to chill on this nonsense, Pierce looks in command of this team and turning it around, and most of the dudes seem ready to play for him, except Peters, and Peters coulodn’t even give 100% to Andy Reid years ago, so that’s certainly not a knock on PIerce.

I honestly think Vegas has a coach and it might be a travesty to look past him IMO.

Fellow Chiefs fan. I agree with everything. I’d hate the raiders to have success but that’s a Dan Campbell type coach they got in Pierce and he should definitely stay.

Bisaccia was not the right choice. That was a magical comeback season but there’s a reason he went right back to being an obscure special teams coach.

Pierce on the other hand I could see being hired if we finish the season decently.

One of the most infuriating things about fans, especially many that frequent the subreddits, is that the opposing teams aren’t allowed to play well - if your team loses it can’t possibly just because this season, you came up against a better team or a team further along in their rebuild and compete window… No it’s a sign that drastic change is needed.

Our sub is a cesspool but I will say, seems like the common consensus is that the fans are bullish on AP. General feeling is that he should be the HC, but needs to find a good OC.

Lol yeah people got hyped when they beat the Jets and Giants at home. All of a sudden Pierce is bad now that they’ve lost consecutive games to the Dolphins Chiefs.

The other loss was to the Dolphins as well. I like Pierce but he’s been outmatched at HC and his in-game decisions and management have been very questionable. He’s learning on the fly so that’s to be expected. Theoretically he would continue to learn the in game nuances a HC needs to know in the offseason and with further experience.

I’d say the only real coach I have I’d hire above him would be Ben Johnson of the Lions, if we can’t snag him I hire Pierce full time.

If they get rid of AP they’re making a huge mistake, that team can handle losses when their coach actually gives a shit about the players and is seemingly doing a pretty good job running the ship. I’d at least give it a full season.

You can’t blame Pierce. If the team wasn’t bad they wouldn’t have needed an interim coach.

If anything he’s given the team a whole new energy.

Agreed, Pierce was handed a team in-which he had no control over personnel wise and people are blaming him for not beating the dolphins and chiefs? The team is not built to beat those teams. Pierce is doing a great job I think. It’s all about the players having respect and playing hard for the coach.

I agree. Can’t blame Pierce for what he inherited. Will see how he does as things move along the rest of the season. Hearing what the players have said about him it seems like they respect and enjoy playing for him, which would only help him moving forward. If they keep him around as head coach next season, only then would I begin holding him partially accountable for the team’s performance.

This is who Marcus peters has always been. Even with the rams, he was just a ball hawk. We got rid of him because he sucks ass in coverage. He plays super far off and still will fall for any double move giving up massive yardage. He also sucks at tackling. And generally has a really bad attitude. His only saving grace is he gets turnovers. If he’s not getting turnovers, he’s one of the worst CBs in the league, especially on a losing team that can’t contain his attitude issues

He was CB2 handedly on the Ravens but we did try to stack a strong safety room behind (Earl Thomas, what could’ve been).

He wasn’t great at tackling but he did try to make the effort on the Ravens especially as we were winning.

Peters though seems too volatile when a team is losing, just doesn’t pan out well. Glad some fans who wanted Harbs gone and Peters to return didn’t get their way.

The only reason he played well for the Ravens after us is because he could be a CB3/4

He was the Ravens starting LCB, so this isn’t true.

Any time he played for the Ravens he was CB2, never less than that.

That aside though, you’re right. He will always be a gambler and that was a net positive in Baltimore. On an average defense though, it’s just not a good fit.
