Well this suggests our starters are legit and our bench sucks. Hopefully getting Amen back can change the latter somewhat. I’m not that confident that the starters can keep this up. Maybe I’ll be more of a believer when we win a game on the road. The next one would be great since that gets us to Vegas.

The narrative that Sengun is a pylon on defense is a lie. He was just surrounded by terrible defenders and a bad coach
Just like with Jokic he’s able to anchor a great defense with help around him even if he isn’t some incredible rim protector
If I remember correctly, he had statistics of 1.7 blocks and 1.3 steals in the Turkish league, where he was MVP. Turkish League is not NBA, but it is not a simple league either.
Most overblown narrative I’ve seen in a long time and everyone parroted it. Sooooo many people actually believed he got played off the court on defense
Houston is due for a defensive regression. They’re a good defensive team, but opp 3p% is lowest in the league, at ~32%. Usually, the best marks in this category every year are around ~34%.
Seeing a defensive lineup with Jalen Green and Sengun in the lineup is music to my ears
