Hey guys

I want to have a online bussines, by doing so i would be putting my self out there making videos for the public to see , everyone i know will see etc. I have this fear im not sure what the fear is off exactly, weather its people’s opinions or what. But i cant let this stop me from pursuing my goals.

Any1 else have this issue? Is this normal and we must act despite feeling like this ?

Its so silly ive let it stop me for years.

Any tips with this ? Should i just stop been a pu#sy and have a go ? I dont want to waste anymore time.

By envisioning yourself on your death bed thinking, “what was I worried about? I should have gone got it.”

“Give him some more morphine he doesn’t know where he is.”

Just go for it, who gives AF.

You fear because you have no idea of who might “believe.”

So consider this an experiment for identifying who it is that you are.

Think of yourself as a cult leader. Who do you think should care.

    And start testing your assumptions.

    Painful but necessary work.

You can find gold nuggets unless you dig a few holes.

Record 5 vids and don’t put them out. Just get used to be on film. And watch them to see what you can improve and enjoy the cringe. Don’t take yourself serious, you can also private the links and ask some randoms to critic it. Good luck! You’ve got this.

When I was still in school, I used to act and do improv theater. I had wild stage fright when I first started - I am on the autistic spectrum and an introvert. The way I got through that was by making the all of the mistakes, saying all the dumb things on stage, forgetting lines, messing up blocking, etc etc. After doing enough of them I realized that it didn’t kill me, my family still loved me, and my friends still liked me.

Fear sucks. If the goal is important, push through.

You beat me to it. Many online businesses only have a phone number, email address and/or a physical address in their contact page.

Transparency is always better for business, but if you’re not comfortable revealing your personal identity, you don’t have to. That’s actually one of the perks of starting an online business.

If it turns into a success story, maybe then you’d be encouraged to go public and start publishing personal videos.

If you’re doing it wrong, no one will notice or even care. If you get noticed, you’re most likely doing it right. The ultimate goal is to get people to pay attention. You just have to do it, like getting into cold water.

Your mind seeks comfort. Doing something new like putting yourself out there is going out of your comfort zone and your mind(fearing for your survival) will try to conjure up ways to stop you from proceeding.

It’s totally normal. It’s why most people don’t dare to try. Just replace it being “scary” with being “exciting” and remember it’s a lot better to say “oh well” than “what if” and also remember you’ll only ever be criticized by people doing less than you, and never by people doing more than you.

You have to start somewhere. The more you create and share, the more confident and skilled you’ll become. Create a few videos and show them to your closest friends and see what they think. Don’t stress over what others might say, as they aren’t important in your life.

Omg this is me!! I was so nervous to do so too. Especially in such a saturated market. (Photography lol) so the way I did it was slowly. I created a private closed off Facebook instagram and website, honestly I did this for about a year. And slowly uploaded content. Meanwhile on my private Facebook account I was uploading pics I was taking, once I was getting contacted to the other people’s pics I did it a couple things same thing. And shortly after that I opened everything up to public so I have a fully operational page with a history of content and people know my name. I also bought the domains a year prior. So I had owned it for while I needed it. I was much too nervous to just go all out I eased my audience into it myself too. But there’s really no such thing as a saturated market if it’s a creative outlet because no one can copy your creativity they can only try. Even two photographers won’t produce the same picture under the same controls and circumstances, not gunna happen. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from watching people with success if the way they lean into it and believe in it, or your buyer/customer/client won’t if you don’t.

In my experience the best key to dealing with fear is adequate preparations and exposure. Prepare as much as you reasonably can and then just jump in. Try not to think about it too much.

It’s usually at its scariest just before you do ‘the thing’- whatever that thing is.

I had this so many years going infront of camera. But recently I started my Instagram channel and within few months I got 16,000 followers.

I believe you should do what you think is right and don’t listen to anyone .

You don’t need to tho, there’s no money to gain on tiktok, everyone is young & broke there. If you don’t have the desire to build a personal brand, there are other better options like google organic for product selling, etc.

I’ve had this whole thought process but at the end of the day, it’s just you and your business and your life. don’t let the fear of people or opinions get the better of you. Someone said to record videos and not post and that’s a great place to start. You could even record videos without having your face in it. For example if it’s a clothing business, have other people wear the clothing and you do the voice overs for videos.

There’s a quote a live by that I think might help: “The cost of procrastination and fear is the life you could’ve lived.”

    Good luck!!
