My wife is pregnant and I am planning on getting her a ladies datejust. I went to the jeweler that her family has always used as I know I will get a good deal.

They are reputable they are an AD for Omega and other SwatchGroup brands. But they aren’t a Rolex AD but have a large pre owned selection. When talking with staff I was told they could get any watch and any combination of dial/bezel and they could switch out a dial or bezel if she didn’t like the ones I selected.

I only have 1 luxury watch (Seamaster) so I’m unfamiliar with the Rolex games, but this seems slightly odd to me. Is this normal or is it likely they are all frankenwatches ?

That’s not normal at all, Rolex will not service a watch that has been… frankened. They’re attempting to sell you unserviceable watches by RSC, I would not buy from there.
