Once again soccer sub showing they don’t understand the rules.
He’s kinda taking penalties like Neymar now…
I don’t understand how this is a handball, the ball barely touches his arm, and even so it was after getting deflected from his body.
Uefa rules, they give it consistently.
Robbery; natural arm motion, close range torso first deflection. Absolutely 0 chance this should have been a penalty.
Well it is in Uefa
I was rooting against Newcastle, but man that’s a harsh way to end the game.
The worst part is that VAR should have easily caught that a PSG player was CLEARLY inside the arc before the penalty was taken. It should have been re-taken 100%. VAR let the game down twice in that short amount of time.
IDGAF which side you support, this type of incident should never be accepted.
That is only relevant if the encroaching player has an impact on the play, which usually means that a defender clears the ball away or that an attacker scores a rebound. Simply having a toe inside the area doesn’t cause the penalty to be retaken if it is scored.
That is not correct. Per the laws of the game: If encroachment into the PA is by the kicking team and the ball goes into the goal, the PK is retaken.
Damm this turtle is cooking
Holy shit that’s atrocious
Oh no ! Anyway…
The handball really wasn’t that controversial of a decision if you read the laws of the game you can see why they gave it, congrats to PSG they deserved a point. And remember Newcastle fans aren’t allowed to complain about decisions, that would be whining.
Unfortunately, when it comes to UEFA, the Qataris have simply paid more. Get fucked Newcastle :D
Just change the rule to “no matter the context, if it touches arm or hand its a pen”
Thats how it is in europe, the leagues do not do that
Hand is hand. Fair imo. I knew Mbappe was scoring. He’s made for these moments. It’s what makes him one of the best in the world
I’ve never seen a handball in the box not be considered a penalty what are you all smoking?
Ref caved in got pressured from players and crowds. Bad call.
