I think you really noticed it in the Dubs/Kings game. Dubs needed to win by 12 to advance. And they were playing completely differently in the last couple minutes of the game, with a lead, than they otherwise would, because you could tell they were trying to pad their lead…and instead of running clock, they had quick empty possessions and the Kings came back and won.
In season tournament having point differential is really making some Blowout games interesting.
The point differential honestly sold me on the IST. It’s still gimmicky af, but if it gets teams to play even a smidge harder then I’m with it

Seriously! My wife and I were watching and it was a 26 point game at one point. Kept saying really it’s a 3 point game. Made it much more exciting!
