I’m just looking for others to confirm my suspicion on the watch’s authenticity. I wish there was a clearer image too…

Because I’m new to watches and want to expand on my knowledge. Perhaps there are other boxes that I am not familiar with. Additionally, the person who owes me works for a well off family who i know gifts watches to their employees.

Not with your very first Reddit post (or with a throwaway account) you don’t. Plus, even if the watch in the very low-res picture is genuine - and I’m not saying it is; the picture is too low-res to make out any real details - how do you know it’s not stolen?

Depends on how much the loan was worth,

Why they might have luxury goods. Yes they where skint when they took the loan but I assume they might off had the money before. Did they receive it as a gift.

There are plenty off reasons, why they have luxury goods and OK the original box is missing but doesn’t prove a fake.

In this case it’s a pretty obvious fake. The smp300m was never made without a helium escape valve especially in full gold

Pretty sure they don’t even offer this seamaster model in all gold.

Not to mention the helium escape valve is missing.
