The Timberwolves now sit at 13-4, the current #1 seed in the Western Conference, almost 1/4 through the season.

Rudy Gobert defensive rating: 102.3 (#1 in the league)

KAT defensive rating: 104 (#2 in the league this year / averaged 109 historically)

Timberwolves: 106.6 (#1 in the league)

If they make the finals this year; are we still saying it was an overpay?

I don’t think it was a terrible trade but don’t agree that we gave up basically nothing. We are doing great this year but some of the picks were 2027 and 2029, its hard to know what the team will look like then. Like KG to Brooklyn nobody thought those picks would have much value but they turned into Jaylen Brown and Tatum.

Also Walker Kessler is much better than Whiteside lmao. And Keyonte may be our pg of the future.

I’m stoked that Rudy’s balling out and hope y’all get that ring. But we’re pretty happy still

But the odds of the 2027 or 2029 picks turning into a top-5 player are very low. People act like top picks always turn into LeBron, but there are a lot more guys like Wiggins and Fultz than like LeBron.

I mean you guys had not one but two top-6 picks 15 years ago in a draft with Steph and didn’t end up with anything to show for it.

High draft picks give a franchise hope but they don’t often turn into championships.
