The Timberwolves now sit at 13-4, the current #1 seed in the Western Conference, almost 1/4 through the season.

Rudy Gobert defensive rating: 102.3 (#1 in the league)

KAT defensive rating: 104 (#2 in the league this year / averaged 109 historically)

Timberwolves: 106.6 (#1 in the league)

If they make the finals this year; are we still saying it was an overpay?

They’re a good team, but I’m getting the 20-21 Jazz vibes. Funny enough 2 of the starters from that team also start in Minnesota

Exactly. How many times have we seen a Gobert led defense lead the regular season then get absolutely exposed in the playoffs? I just don’t buy this wolves team as a contender till they win at least one series.

Wolves fans keep saying that jazz team didn’t have good perimeter defenders but they weren’t slouches by any means. When the playoffs hit and coaches have time to gameplan, Gobert becomes a non-factor regardless of the perimeter defense.
