It is a 1952 Rolex Oyster Precision ref 6426, fully restored with its original dial and hands, no box or papers but includes a Rolex strap. I have it reserved for 3800 AUD or 2508 USD. Just wondering if this is worth buying as it is in very good condition, however has been heavily restored which might mean it’s worth less, what do you think about the price for this watch
It depends. If you’re trying to invest in it or if you like it. Personally, if it is 100% real then I would buy it but what matters is what you like and your intended use!
It’s a redial. 600 bucks tops.
Anyone know where this guy buys his watches? I’d gladly buy a redial for 600
Don’t buy redials. Only lovers buy redials. You wouldn’t buy a second-hand tyre, would you?
Aren’t redials pretty common in Vintage Rolexes? I’m not sure if I’m missing a joke but would that really drop the value by 75%?
I also wouldn’t say this watch is worth $2400. I had a precision and let it go for like $1350. They’re not nearly as valuable as Datejust, etc.
The redial absolutely destroyed the watch.
Look at that shitty “Swiss” at 6 o’clock. Don’t buy this restored pile of cow dung. Jesus fucking Christ, how much handholding do you Rolex guys need?
You need a hug.

Ignoring that it’s a re-dial, you aren’t getting much value besides a coronet logo. You’ll find much better watches in terms of fit, finish and movement at that price, maybe 5 of them with that amount. If you really like the look of the watch, go for it, but you’ll only get opinions like “ew this is a redial, not worth it” which I would absolutely ignore.
Your opinion is the only one that really matters.
