Steam is an amazing company. Probably the best company in terms of customer support in the U.S. many businesses could learn from them. There is hardly anyone who has a bad thing to say about them.

You can send it to steam to get it repaired
I second this. My experience with Steam support for a broken Steam Deck (white OLED) was outstanding.
They sent me a full replacement, brand new, also white OLED (after you couldn’t buy them anymore). I was amazed.
