Macron macroning
Wouldn’t be surprised at all
I would. Our relationship with France right now is not great. We even refused the aid they sent after the eartquake
Why?
The Pegasus affair, then France restricting Visas on Moroccan citizens, and France getting too close to Algeria. The US and Israel recognized Morocco’s sovereignty on Western Sahara and the King expects France to do the same
Because if we weren’t the Big Bad Evil any more, they couldn’t conveniently finger us as the root of all problems any time something remotely embarrassing for the party in power happens.
(Note: Colonialism is evil, and we definitely deserve a good heaping of blame. That being said, Morocco (and Algeria and Tunisia) have stretched the “It’s all France’s fault” to hide and distract from their internal corruption waay beyond France’s (actual, existing) faults.)
Bullshit the relationship between Macron and Morroco are very very cold.
So the “Macron is sparing no expenses” to lobby for Morocco to have the final played in Casablanca … is smelling horseshit from far away.
A gesture of goodwill
Wouldnt be the first time for a French President and wouldnt be the first time Macron meddled in Football Affairs
