B.C.'s small claims tribunal has ordered Air Canada to compensate two passengers whose arrival in Egypt was delayed by more than 56 hours, while three other family members who were travelling with them have been denied compensation for now.
Fuck these clickbait/malicious title wording for insinuating something entirely different than what the article is about.
The tribunal ruled in favor of the claimant if anything. AC has to compensate 2 out of the 5 passengers on claim for the delays because AC failed to proof that the delays were outside of AC’s controls.
The other 3 family members were denied because the claimant who paid for the ticket claimed it on their behalf; and since they’re not the affected passengers themselves there’s no standing.
The tribunal pretty much out right says the rest of the passengers can file their own claim for their delayed flights.
I hate it, with social media there is so many people that just read news titles without the actual article. Clickbait titles that are plain wrong like this are just misinformation.
