This has been one of the key features I’ve been waiting for to finally be able to move away from Google Photos and OneDrive for mobile photos backup.

Of course it’s photos only, and not an arbitrary folder sync, which would be able to do the same and much more. So annoying.

        I didn’t see that. That’s awesome!

Yah. It is kinda of annoying how slow they can be. But they are making continual steady progress. I have no doubt, they’ll eventually get to a full office suite.

I’ve also noticed that practically every time they release something (even to beta) it works flawlessly. The only launch issue I remember, is large file uploads when Drive was first rolled out. The reliable bug free launch is very nice. Especially in a world where software is constantly pushed out too fast, then requires 6 months or more of bug fixing before it’s usable.

I just moved my email from them to Fastmail due to lack of features, or rather them charging more for features that should be included.

Now I’m paying less and the features I want are included.

For storage, why wouldn’t I just handle encryption myself and stick it on Wasabi, for example?

Doesnt show any photos you’ve already uploaded to Drive (you know, the thousands you’d like to see). Their answer was download everything and reupload it.

Can’t select folders to upload. Defaults to DCIM/Camera.

Only works with a wifi connection, no option for mobile data.
